At that time the Action Sport industry was at its early infancy and Southern California was the hotbed for action sports (Surfing, Skateboarding, Freestyle MX and Snowboarding). All of these Action Sports embraced an element of risk and DSO sunglasses initially reflected the heart and soul of that risk. DSO sunglasses are the abbreviated name Dangerous Sport Optics! The company lived the lifestyle and grew right along with the industry and became a household name in the Southern California Market.

Though DSO remains true to its Action Sports roots, the company has evolved becoming a lifestyle fashion and performance sunglass brand worn by the likes of Adam Sandler, A list celebrities with a list of Musicians and professional athletes that demand only the best.

Our goal since day one is quality and fit with unique styling, visual clarity, unequaled durability and wide selection make DSO sunglasses an unsurpassed player in the sunglass market.

President Chris Mangum passion for building incredible project vehicles along with Bikes and Boats that represent the brand and the lifestyle that goes along with core followers has turned into a fulltime gig with the inception of MAD Industries that sole purpose is the create and build customized specialty projects.

In the midst of building award winning projects DSO and Chris Mangum teamed up with premier brands in the automotive industry including Rockford Fosgate to showcase their products on these amazing builds and the lifestyle.
