i have just downloaded the latest version of the windows software for use with my hp pavillion dv4000 laptop. i have a belkin bluetooth dongle i am useing and it says i eithe rneed to use comm 4 or comm 5 depending on which usb port the dongle is in.
i open up the program and select my comm port and the program says please wait and then does nothing, at all.
i have tryed both comm4 and comm5 with the same results. i need to get this functional in the next few days i have some things i need to adjust. tbonei know you got my back! |

You need to first manually connect to the 3Sixty with your bluetooth dongles software. This will establish the pairing process and will tell you which port it will use (if it lists an incoming and outgoing port, use the OUT). Once you can successfuly connect to the 3Sixty w/o using our software and you know which port your PC is using, THEN you can use our software. |

With the latest release, there are NO dogles known that cause problems. Feel free to get any one you like. |

Got her installed and running tonight... Im very satisfied (only thing id like is to be able to rename the channels of the 360 because once i add my second one im going to get confused)
I had a question thou about the setup... I threw in the setup disk and everything and set the level controls to just after i saw the blue light (just did front and sub and the front is at the lowest setting with the sub farther up) anyway what would happen if i set it higher (just before the clip light) would that cause more clipping or what?
Also ive herd the 360 is quite sensitive to ground loop so should i opt to use a longer ground and go direct to the battery (mine is in the trunk and the 360's will be on the rear deck so it wont be that long but longer then if i ground off the deck) Currently i have it gounded in a random very bad spot on the rear deck and there was quite a bit of noise (not sure if there still is after running the install cd)
You will want to ground it to the same point as your amps.
The input LED is just a RMS detector set to detect the signal level across the audio spectrum. Your system may have peaks and valleys in the frequency reponse so we have to average this data. The higher you turn the input level, the higher average you will. If this level is too high, you will clip the inputs to the analog to digital converter which won't wound very good. Set the knob too low and you're missing out on some dynamic range. The LED is a pretty good aproximation for most systems. The wider the swing between peaks an valeys though, may cause the LED to report incorrect data. The best way to check you setup is correct is to look at the plot when the OEM integration is done. You want the red before line centered arounf the middle of the plot. If it is high, turn the input level down and run OEM setup again. If its to low, raise it and run OEM again. |

| ok cool... i didnt run the oem because i have an aftermarket deck. Only reason why i ask is because im used to my highs sorta keeping up with the bass but with the highs level input at the min and the sub higher up (just till the led lit up) the bass is overwelming... |

Tbone,
I just installed the program, got my Kensington USB Doggle installed (after many attempts), and got it to pair with the 3sixty. The problem I am having is that the screen and information does not line up. I tried all different screen resolutions, but got the same results. All of the graphics seems to be shifted...
Any ideas or recommendations? |

Sorry but there are no updates available at this time. We are aware that on some machines (for reasons unknown) the objects don't line up in the window. Hopefully we will have a fix soon. |

I'm using a Fujitsu-Siemens laptop with a Belkin Bluetooth dongle, and I can pair up with a .2 no problems, but will not connect or assign a Com port with a .1. Just some feedback, have tried everything. Using 0.23, and the .2 software worx perfect.
So let me clearify something...
You have 2 devices a 3Sixty.1 and a 3Sixy.2 and your Belikin Dongle will find only the 3Sixty.2 and assigns it a COM port with which you use in the 3Sixty.2 app?
The 3Sixty.1 can't be found by your BT dongle?
Or does your Belkin find both and assigns both devices the same com port? If this is the case, your PC typically uses only 1 port so if you conenct to a .2 and say it uses COM4. If you then try to pair a .1 and it uses COM4. If you run a 3Sixty app, you have to use com 4 but since the .1 was the last device it was connected to it will try that one.
The front end of the windows app is the same for both .1 and .2 so it doesn't make any sense that it works on .2's but not on .1's. Please clearify your setup.
