I drove my GN to work today. I never drive it so I always forget about the feedback/engine noise I get out of the LF speaker. Its that god awful high pitched whine noise. There are no ground issues with the car, charging system is up to par, etc. The only thing I can come up with is the RCA's. They are Moster's cheap line and I figure this has to be the probem because this is the weak point in the system. Can you guys think of anything else? And, are there any particular RCA's you recommend? I run knukonceptz in my daily and have no issues with 5V pre-outs. I dont want to spend a TON, but I want quality stuff.........
Your thoughts please....... thanks! |

Hey Neil whats up? I can't believe you have not changed those yet!!!! We talked about that along time ago. I have always ran the Rockford Fosgate. I currently use The Matrix (Gamma Geometry) I have the type rf and the power spl. Never had any issues with the 9420 8v preouts with those 2 brands. I don't have any your length or I could hook you up. Probably have to be pretty long to go to the back of your car. Also it could be a problem in the amp. If you have no luck with the rca change send the amp my way and I will have a look for you. You should send the 240x4 while your at it. Later......

Here is another fun bit of info. While driving with the radio at low levels, all the sudden Im getting feedback through the left rear speaker like a buzzing sound. So I turn the radio off for a few mins, and back on, sometimes its still there, sometimes its not.
Yes, we did talk about this a LONG time ago........... I put less than 200 miles on the car this year :( Thanks for the reply............. |

Well sounds like it just might be the amp. Check and make sure your rca outs on the back of the deck are not resting against a wire harness of the car. Still change the rca plugs. The 8v preout are exremely sensitive to interference. Let me know after that if it still does it. Then it will be a matter of you sending me the amp when ever you get time. Talk to you later........

Sounds good. Do check the preouts on the deck to make sure they are not resting against a wiring harness of the car. I sold you the 4080 so if there is a problem I will not charge you to fix it, you will just have to pay shipping. Talk to you later bro....

I know you are using them all but make sure the ones being used are not touching any wiring from the car. Alot of voltage flowing through them and they are sensitive. Later bro...........
