Anybody had any experience with these yet? I know they aren't out to the public but I figured some of yall had the inside info on them. I wanna get 2 of'em and I wanna know if its worth it or should I just stick with my T4K.

the new amps dont have the bass boost frequency centering like the old T series amps. that is why i did not switch to a t2500-1bd. other than that, great power, 2 will be more powerfull than the 1 t4k and its new technology, so why not give the latest and greatest a try.

Bkrupp, could you explain the bass boost freq centering? I'm leaning towards the CPs because they produce the same at 1 and 2 ohms and that'll give me a lot more flexibility.

ok, so on the para punch bass knob of the older gray t series mono amps, it has 2 knobs, one for bass boost, and one for the frequency the boost is centered around.

the new t series dont have that feature.

i love to boost the bass according to the frequency, because all songs are different and rock usually doesnt have the lows rap does, so i have to tweak it a little for every song that comes on.

hope this helps.

O ok. I gotcha. Yeah you're right. I have the old one with the 2 knobs and some songs you have to adjust the freq in order to get the desired bass.

cool, so now you have to weigh the pros and cons of each amp, it isnt just that the newer stuff is better so go new, its now that the newer stuff has less features, and might not be better.

RAI: i will tell you from personal experience that 2 T2500.1bd will EASILY outperform the T4k. NOTICEABLY.

the CP will be even MORE noticeable.

forget the frequency centering knob, that thing is basicly worthless......hence the reason they stopped using it. I dont even notice not having it.

I loved mine, but I'm so low powered compared to you. Maked one huge difference in my old system.

Wish I had money to try out the new amps... I'd love a T1500-1bd cp or not. LOL

I switched to a T1500-1 from a T20001db and I hardly notice a difference in power. I always had my frequency knob set in the middle anyway-so it didn't both me to loss it.

oh, well i have had the knob and ive not that the knob, and for me, personally it helps out a lot. i listen to rap 90% of the time but rock/metal the other 10%. and it made a world of difference to just center the frequency boost for each song, thats for me, maybe you just listen to rap and might not notice like meade.

I listen to all genre of music- but most music doesn't need bass boost like rap. I listen to lot's of metal and hard rock, but also rap when I'm riding solo. My little ones like classical and kids songs, so I pretty such listen to everything but not too much country, my wife hates it, and I rarely will either.

yeah, i would expect 1000 watt rms rated to be louder, 4000 rms wont be as loud as 5000 will be with the same subs and enclosure and such.

and im not saying everyone only listens to rap, im saying, when i had different songs playing, the knob was very useful.

Bkrupp is right. I like to listen to a lot of old motown and 70s/80s rock and some of the lows don't come out. One thing that I do is turn the dial up on the 360 (it controls my sub volume) and that helps most of the time. I can't wait to get those (2) T2500s when they drop. I'm already saving up for them!!
